SimAuthor, Inc., Boulder, CO, was founded in 1997 and uses advanced visualization technology and database tools to produce proprietary flight training and operations analysis software, services and support for commercial, corporate and military aviation customers worldwide. Yankee Pacific's founder is an equity investor in SimAuthor and a member of the board.
SimAuthor was purchased by Westar Aerospace and Defense Group, a QinetiQ company, on 1 March 2006.
